I saw this at my Walmart and couldn’t stop laughing “YOU’RE RUINING MY PRESIDENCY”. I don’t normally bother with these types of magazines but I was curious to see what was being said about his Royal Highness and her Majesty. Turns out it is exactly what we have been stating. They are celebrities… “Even the President thinks Michelle is acting more like a Queen than a First Lady” Yep, sounds about right. Oh and if they buy ANOTHER multi-million dollar mansion (They bought a 35 million dollar mansion in Hawaii around September/October of last year), I am going to flip shit like never before. That is OUR money they are taking to live like royalty.
They are making a huge deal about this sequester yet they (or rather she) is already shopping for ANOTHER house. You guys want to know where the real cuts need to be!!! On their paychecks. Stop buying million dollar homes for your private use. Stop spending thousands of dollars on outfits with you only wear ONCE (Michelle). Stop spending thousands of dollars PER golf session, just to cover instructors and the high end golf club. Stop spending nearly 100k on a dog handler. Stop spending millions of dollars PER vacation! I am pretty sure that I just freed a few million dollars in not billions in this family’s “budget”.
If you were to cut all of those things the sequester wouldn’t even matter.
“But it can’t happen in America, we’re a democracy!”
Like that time the democratically elected United States government stripped Native Americans of their lands, rights, and possessions, and turned a blind eye to their lynching?
Or that time the democratically elected United States government murdered three hundred Native Americans, including over two hundred women and children?
Or perhaps that time the democratically elected United States government murdered over twenty coal miners because they were striking?
Or maybe that time less than a hundred years ago when the democratically elected United States government under the ‘liberal’ Franklin Delano Roosevelt imprisoned over a hundred thousand Japanese Americans merely because of their race?
Or that time the democratically elected United States government, instead of sensibly issuing an arrest warrant for cult leader David Kokesh on his daily morning runs, engaged in nearly two-month long siege of the cult’s compound, which ended in the compound being shot at and burned down, killing eighty-two people, many of whom were children and individuals who had not taken part in hostilities. Here’s a couple of pictures of ATF/FBI agents standing on the ashes of the compound. Pretty sure I can see a corpse in there. Oh, and this same democratic goverment thought it was appropriate to use tanks during a raid on a compound with children in it. How very Constitutional of them.
Now, is this just an American thing? Let’s take an example from Canada, too.
Remember that time when the democratically elected Canadian government kidnapped Native children and sent them to Church-run Residential Schools, where they beaten for speaking their own language or speaking of their own culture, raped by staff members, or even murdered. The program ran until the 1960s, and the survivors are just now receiving compensation. Let me remind you that the Canadian education system does not talk about this, ever.
So don’t say “It can’t happen here” because it has happened here. You disrespect the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who have died on what is now American soil, at the hands of the democratic United States government. Read a damn history book.
Exactly what I thought based on the letter Holder wrote to Senator Rand Paul. The wording created a sort of loop hole “Does the President have the authority to use weaponized drones to kill an AMERICAN NOT ENGAGED IN COMBAT ON AMERICAN SOIL?” Which means that if they claim that, that person was engaged in some sort of “combat” on American soil, that they then have the power to use drones to kill that person. They could basically create an enemy combatant out of anyone to excuse the use of drones killing Americans. At first the letter may have seen like a victory but now it seems to show this Administration’s true colors (as if we haven’t seen them already).
FILIBUSTER VICTORY FOR RAND: White House surrenders!
Finally. After 13 hours of Rand Paul filibustering and demanding an answer to one simple question, the White House has surrendered. Attorney General Eric Holder sent Senator Paul a curt letter acknowledging that President Obama has no Constitutional authority to order drone strikes on non-combatant US citizens within this country’s borders.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney quoted from the letter that Holder sent to Paul today. “Does the president have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on an American soil?” Holder wrote, per Carney. “The answer is no.”
Carney added that, “if the United States were under attack, there were an imminent threat,” the president has the authority to protect the country from that assault.
This is perhaps the first time that the Obama administration has completely crumbled under pressure, and the achievement for Senator Paul and the statesmen who joined him on the floor of the Senate cannot be overstated.
Take note, America. We can take on President Obama on a Constitutional basis…and we can win.

Coming from someone who was born and raised in NYC, and lived there for practically 21 years (some of which where spent in upstate NY due to college), and having lived in Texas for the last 3 years. I would hands down live in Texas over New York. In fact my husband and I do not plan on moving back to that state which in comparison to Texas, is a hell hole.
